Our collection from northwest Argentina at nearly 10,000 ft. Gracefully arching, very shiny leaves tinted red are stunning growing from a high cliff. Luckily you do not have to hang by your ankles to have this plant. Has flowered for us with 2ft rosey red spikes with a celadon blue flower, a color that should not be found in nature. Should be hardy to at least 10 to 15F, mid USDA zone 8, making it one of the toughest bromeliads for garden use. Full sun to dappled shade; good drainage.
